I have curly hair that grows long sometimes.

I get swept away in the passings of the days,

and my long curly hair becomes tangled.

VERY TANGLED.

During times of neglect,

my hair has reached impossible states of chaos,

knotted beyond repair…

I thought.

But I’ve learn about the impossible.

With diligence and technique,

I have untangled my hair out of the worst disrepair.

This process has taught me about the impossible.

What you believe possible is what matters.

Every breath drives you closer to the reality you believe in.

Now, when this curly halo knots it’s not due to neglect.

This hair gets knotted because I’ve been busy, playful, wild and free.

It still requires diligence and technique to untangle,

and each time I begin unwinding,

I think,

THIS TIME,

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE.

And every time,

I have been wrong.

    Oh but diligence is a Fairweather freind of mine.
    It stays around so long as it’s all fine.
    And when the tides turn in time,
    And a confusion in my head comes to dine,
    Serves me a scrumptious platter and wine,
    Diligence leaves my hand.
