The Existential Dig

1–2 minutes

To read

How far and for how long do we have to dig,

before we are absolutely certain that life has meaning?

How long must we flounder in doubt ridden philosophical ponderings

before we believe that something exists beyond us and our cognitive understanding?

If we do break through this glass ceiling, will we be able to accept

the bold notion that this something, also contains Love for us?

I propose, we won’t have to go through the cognitive process of acceptance

because on the other side of the glass ceiling,

is an embodied experience of Love and Infinite Peace.

Embodied, and undeniable to the self,

these experiences wash over us like a wave,

leaving us drenched in existential peace…

lingering feelings of surety.

The more you visit,

the less you doubt.

There are some experiences that trigger a breaking open,

and there are some practices that cultivate it.

Biochemical? Spiritual? Psychological?

There the mind goes again…

trying to figure it out.

What a tragedy,

to miss the beauty of life entirely,

just because we got lost trying to figure it out.

I was watching this movie Interstellar a day back with family. And there was this scene in which one of the astronaut was talking about how love tends to be an innate thing which seeps through any dimensions of time and space.
And that how love helps us transcend space and time.
